FMS names Students of Month

Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School “Students of the Month” award to acknowledge positive contributions of students at school ranging from assisting teachers and peers in classroom activities to displaying characteristics as a role model in and out of the classroom.

The Students of the Month certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade-level teaching team.

Kyle Schubick is a fifth-grade student of the month for January. According to his certificate, “Kyle demonstrates Trojan PRIDE in everything he does. He is very responsible and prepared for class. He is always kind to others and displays great integrity. Kyle can be counted on to get his work done well and on time. Kyle is a good role model for others. He gives up his free time to help another student work on social skills.”

Makayla Abbott is a fifth-grade student of the month. Her certificate states, “Makayla is an outstanding student, and has put forth great effort this year. She always shows Trojan PRIDE in and out of class. Makayla is always prepared for class, and follows the rules. She is kind to other students and makes others feel valued.”

Olivia McClaran is a sixth-grade student of the month. Her certificte states, “Olivia goes above and beyond what is expected and is a very hard worker. Olivia is also willing to help her classmates. Her teachers appreciate the effort Olivia puts forth each day. She exemplifies Trojan PRIDE on a daily basis.”

Bryan Wilkins is a sixth-grade student of the month. His certificate states, “Bryan is a hard worker and has a positive attitude toward learning and sharing each day. He challenges himself to think outside the box and do his best at all times. Bryan is very respectful of those around him.”

Dylan Smithburg is a seventh-grade student of the month. His certificate states, “Dylan has a great attitude, and is always in a good mood. He’s a positive person, and doesn’t complain. Dylan is a team player, as he works well with a wide variety of people. Dylan is a very responsible student, as we can always depend on him.”

Paige Carlson is a seventh-grade student of the month. Her certificate states, “Paige is a very conscientious student, who works well under pressure. Paige leads by example, and is a quiet leader. The students that work with her look to Paige for guidance and they listen to what she has to say because they respect her.”

Maeleisa Leaford is an eighth-grade student of the month. Her certificate states, “Her pleasant attitude, work ethic, and propensity for quietly doing the right thing has earned her the respect of students and teachers alike. A serious student, Maeleisa has proven that she is a true model of Trojan PRIDE.”

Brendon Lunsford is an eighth-grade student of the month. His certificate states, “Brendon is a consistently hard-working student who is always striving to complete every assignment to the best of his ability. He is respectful and polite to not only adults but to his peers as well.Brendon strives to be a role model for his younger teammates, modeling how to be a successful student and athlete. Brendon Lunsford is a great example of true Trojan PRIDE.”
