FMS Students of Month honored

Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School “Students of the Month” award.

The purpose of the award is to acknowledge positive contributions of FMS students at school. The positive contributions range from assisting teachers and peers in classroom activities to displaying characteristics as a role model in and out of the classroom. The “Students of the Month” certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade-level teaching team.

Cahrina Chang is a fifth-grade Student of the Month. Her certificate states she is “an excellent student. She’s willing to go above and beyond on the tasks asked of her.She is a hard worker and is very dependable. She has been respectful to her classmates, especially when she works in teams or groups. She interacts with them positively, even in tense situations. She helps others and I can count on her to follow directions when she is asked.”

Jacob Scotton is a fifth-grade Student of the Month. His certificate states: “Jacob does a great job of participating in class discussions and activities. He makes sure his work is done well and turned in on time. He is kind to others and strives to do what is right. He exemplifies all the traits of Trojan PRIDE consistently.”

Emma Carlson is a sixth-grade Student of the Month. Her certificate states: “Emma is a conscientious, self-directed student, who often goes above and beyond in the classroom. She is also a very talented, creative, and is a prolific writer. Her classmates enjoy reading her descriptive stories. Through her actions, Emma exemplifies Trojan PRIDE every day.”

Shane Morrissey is a sixth-grade Student of the Month. His certificate states: “Shane is a hard-working student who is prepared, dependable, and strives to do his best at all times. He works extremely well with others and has a positive attitude toward learning and sharing his knowledge with others.”

Juancarlos Tello is a seventh-grade Student of the Month. His certificate states: “Juancarlos is a dedicated student. He works very hard and always tries his best. He’s willing to take risks. Juancarlos truly loves to learn, and that love of learning is infectious. He asks good questions and is always a leader in classroom discussions.”

Allison Krumboltz is a seventh-grade Student of the Month. Her certificate states: “Allison is a responsible student and a positive person. She’s always willing to work with anyone and help in any way she can. She is a hard worker, who doesn’t give up when things get tough.”

Jada Lippincott is an eighth-grade Student of the Month. Her certificate states: “Jada is always excited to learn, as she enters class with a “What are we going to do today?” type of attitude. She is friendly to students and staff, in addition to carrying herself as self-confident and poised. Her positive, cheerful attitude can be infectious to all!”

Trenton Nelson is an eighth-grade Student of the Month. His certificate states: he “is a hard working and conscientious student. He gets his work done with a positive attitude and a smile. He is respectful, friendly, and kind to others. He is definitely showing his readiness to become a successful high school student. Trenton is supportive of his classmates, and is great at working in groups with his peers.”
