FMS track athletes have home meet
The Fairfield Middle School boys’ track team hosted a meet Tuesday at Trojan Stadium.
The Fairfield eighth-graders finished fourth overall with 75 points. The meet was won by Mt. Pleasant.
The 1600-meter medley relay team, comprised of Steeler Higdon, Dakota Storto, Hunter Hoskins and Max Sullivan, finished first with the time of 4:27.45.
The Trojans managed second place in the 4x800-meter relay and the 4x400-meter relay. Sullivan got second place in the 800-meter run.
Higdon, Cade Lisk, Hunter Bechtel and Hoskins each managed a third place finish in various events at the meet.
The seventh-grade boys finished second to Mt. Pleasant with 140.5 points.
Nicholas Iseman got first in the 800-meter run. The 1600-meter medley relay team, comprised of Iseman, A.J. Pohren, Cole Engle and Caden Jones got first place with the time of 4:33.04.
Carson Crile and Kosta Papazoglou both finished first in field events.
Brian Parcell got second in the 400-meter dash.
The Trojans finished second in the 4x400-meter relay, and earned third in the 4x100-meter relay, 4x200-meter relay, 4x800-meter relay and the shuttle hurdle relay.
Engle, Dillon Harvey and Simpson got third place in various events.
