Free baby-sitting class offered to fifth-graders
The Super Sitter baby-sitting course, sponsored by the Jefferson County Health Center Auxiliary, is set from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 22 at the health center.
The free course is open to all fifth-grade boys and girls in Jefferson County.
The course teaches information and tips covering topics of fire safety, first aid, infant/child care and development.
A multiple choice test is given at the conclusion of the course, and certificates and tote bags are handed out.
Information about the class, including the registration form, will be sent home from school the week beginning Monday.
Completed forms can be dropped off or mailed to June Lowenberg, Miller Realty, 1309 S. Main St., Fairfield 52556.
The health center offers the free course once a year. Names of participants are not shared for baby-sitting referrals.
Attending fifth-graders will need to bring a sack lunch. Drinks are provided.
