Free income tax services available in Brighton
BRIGHTON — The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program will be offering free income tax services to qualified individuals in Brighton.
VITA offers free assistance to those with low-to-moderate incomes under $50,000.
Volunteer tax assistors with VITA have completed an IRS training and certification course and can help complete basic tax returns free of charge. Federal and state returns are able to be filed electronically.
Help with basic income tax returns will be offered by appointment only from 1:30-5:30 p.m. on the first three Saturdays in February: Saturday, Feb. 9 and Feb. 16 at the Brighton Community Center.
