Information sought for Fairfield Artist Directory

Apr 15, 2013

The Fairfield Cultural Alliance is creating an online Fairfield Artist Directory and seeking Jefferson County visual artists working in such media as painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, fiber, digital, mixed media, book arts, graphic arts, printmaking, installation, glass, wood, collage, ceramics/pottery, jewelry, mosaics and murals.

Later, the FCA plans to expand the list to include disciplines such as music, theatre, dance, writing, filmmaking and more.

For an artist to be included in the free online directory, he or she should submit the following: name; contact information including the website of the atist, gallery and art representative; medium; a 50-word statement about himself and/or his work; and an optional jpg photo of artwork, preferably sized at 640 by 480 pixels.

The list will be organized according to medium and then alphabetically by last name. If an artist works in more than one medium, he should choose the one he wants to be listed under and add other media to his statement.

Submit information to mtiffany@lisco.com.

First deadline for submissions is May 31. Second deadline for submissions is Aug 31.

Watch for updates and early listings at www.fairfieldculturaldistrict.org.
