Iowa State Financial Services shareholders meeting held
The 13th annual meeting of the shareholders of Iowa State Financial Services Corporation was held May 20 in the lobby of the downtown branch of Iowa State Bank and Trust Company.
David Eastburn was appointed the chairman and presiding officer while Marcia Gaines was appointed as the secretary of the meeting.
Joe Carr, Nelson Anderson, Steve Triplett and Ken Malloy were unanimously re-elected to the board of directors for a three-year term of office. The shareholders also welcomed Aaron Kness as the president and CEO and new director of Iowa State Bank and Trust Company.
In other action, the board of directors of Iowa State Bank unanimously elected Gaines as senior vice president, Sue Buch as vice president of real estate lending, Susan Booth as vice president of consumer lending, Sherri Stone as vice president of operations and the banks cashier, Laurie Smith as vice president of investments and cash management, Jackie Hinshaw as vice president of ag lending, Kathy Conger as assistant vice president and assistant cashier, Dena Morrissey as assistant vice president of deposit administration and Diana Wolf as the bank security officer.
Eastburn was elected as the chairman of the board of directors, and Deanne Hickenbottom was chosen as the corporation’s chief financial officer and its secretary.
Eastburn reviewed the financial condition of the organization and its subsidiary banks in Fairfield and Cedar Rapids. He thanked the shareholders for their support and expressed the appreciation for the help of the board, the chief executives of the subsidiary banks and all of the staff for their hard work and efforts during this time of economic uncertainty.
