John Stansberry, 95, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Sunnybrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.
A funeral will be 10:30 am Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home. Burial with military rites will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday with Masonic Rites.

Mr. Stansberry was born Feb. 20, 1917, in Libertyville, the son of James S. and Rhea J. Byers Stansberry. He married Erma Eileen Daub April 9, 1948, in Des Moines.
Mr. Stansberry enlisted in the Navy after high school and served on the USS West Virginia when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor.
After retiring from the Navy in 1955, he returned to the Libertyville area to work at the Atomic Energy Commission in Burlington.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jim Stansberry and wife Donna of Pacifica, Calif., John Stansberry and spouse Bev of McAllen, Texas; two daughters, Debra Rodibaugh and spouse Doug of Littleton, Colo., and Andra Adam and spouse Dennis of Fairfield; three sisters, Kay Brumm of Indianola, Thelma Roland of Birmingham and Jeannie Christenson of Chetek, Wis.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robert, and one grandson.
