Even though the Fairfield junior varsity baseball team went through a bit of a skid to finish the year, the Trojans still managed a successful year and a winning percentage above .500.

The Trojans ended their season Tuesday with a 3-0 loss to Pella at home. Fairfield ended the year with a 17-12 record, despite going 2-4 in its final week.

The youngsters from Fairfield ran into a formidable opponent Monday as well in the form of Grinnell. Grinnell won the game 10-3.

Fairfield swept Fort Madison July 11, which took the sting out of their two losses the day prior against Ottumwa.
