Keokuk woman chosen as Miss Iowa
DAVENPORT (AP) — A Keokuk woman has been chosen as Miss Iowa and will compete in the Miss America Pageant this fall.
The Quad-City Times reports 22-year-old Nicole Kelly won Saturday after a three-day competition in Davenport.
Kelly is majoring in directing and theater management at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
She is the 72nd woman to hold the title of Miss Iowa.
The first runner-up was 24-year-old Isabella Blaine of Des Moines.
The Miss America Pageant will be Sept. 15 in Atlantic City, N.J.
