Learn to spot animal eyes
An Eye Shine program is planned from 8:30-10 p.m. Wednesday at Jefferson County Park.
Participants should bring a flashlight and meet at the park’s nature center. Elementary school-aged children must be accompanied by an adult.
Jefferson County Naturalist Therese Cummiskey said many nighttime creatures have eyes that reflect light, and the color of the reflected light varies from animal to animal.
Participants will learn the spotting technique to use to locate mysterious eyes of the night.
No registration is necessary.
The program is free.
