Let’s go back to the 1960s
To the editor:
I’m writing for a few different reasons. I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
As a bell ringer for the Salvation Army I want to thank all who contribute to the cause.
Now, I want to talk about evolution. No, I don’t believe mankind came from monkeys. We were created as we are on the outside by The God Almighty. We have however evolved in our morals and ethics in a bad way.
I remember growing up and not being allowed to use the word “hate.” Mom would always tell us hate is a terrible thing and that “dislike” should be used. Now it’s “hate this” and “hate that” and worst of all “hate them.” It would be nice to evolve backwards and get that word out of our vocabulary.
Another way we have evolved is the way we accept lies from our leaders. Our leaders should be kept in check by us the people and if they lie we should do something about it like ousting them from office.
Let’s as a people evolve back to the ‘60s in our morals. The advance of technology is great but it’s not as important as living right and teaching our children and leaders to live in good ways. Thank you and Merry Christmas.
