Local filmmaker seeks movie sponsors
Local filmmaker Jesse Heisel, who is majoring in cinema at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, is seeking sponsors for a movie he’ll be making this summer.
“I am embarking on my first feature film,” said Heisel. “The movie is a romantic comedy about love, acceptance and real life issues.”
Heisel is already semi-known in Iowa City for his student-run television show “Dark Wings.” Under his direction, the show has become one of the most talked about shows of the year.
“But with the little success I have already had, I still need help with my movie,” Heisel said.
Heisel is now looking for sponsors and donators to help fund the movie.
“Any donation will be greatly appreciated, and with each donation, I can provide a spot in the credits to help promote their said business and maybe even more,” he said.
“I am also in great need of housing to give my cast and crew a place to stay,” he continued. “Whether it’s a hotel, motel or someone’s house, I am looking for the best deal possible to help house my workers. I am needing a place that can provide up to 30 people max. Keep in mind though my budget will be very limited, so I will need someone who is willing to negotiate. And for their troubles, they too will get a spot in the credits.”
