Lord’s Cupboard to host Trivia Night
The next Lord’s Cupboard Trivia Night will be Nov. 18 at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center, with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m. and trivia beginning at 7 p.m.
The event gets more popular each time, and this night will be extra special as it will take place on the Sondheim stage. Local businesses are encouraged to sponsor a table of eight participants for this great cause supporting The Lord’s Cupboard.
Trivia Night is an evening of friendly competition, tasty snacks, and cold beverages, all to help feed the hungry of Jefferson County. The event will be hosted by Steve Smith of Classic 96 - 1570 KMCD and Kay Kress of Fairfield Hy-Vee Food and Drug Store. Trivia questions will be projected onto the big screen and participants will be asked 10 trivia questions during each round.
A 50/50 raffle will add to the fun, and a cash bar will be available.
Tickets are $15 per person, and can be purchased at the door or the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center ticket office.
The Lord’s Cupboard of Jefferson County serves as the county’s sole emergency food pantry and serves about 500 food orders per month. Nearly half of those served by the pantry are under the age of 18.
Donations of food or cash are always accepted at The Lord’s Cupboard, 303 N. Fourth St. in Fairfield, 1-4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The only requirement is that the donation be nonperishable, canned or packaged food, which has not expired.
