Pence Elementary School kindergartner Addison McClure gets a grip on a hamburger in the school’s lunch room late this morning. The school district’s plan for healthier menus started in August. Today’s menu included peaches, broccoli, cauliflower and milk in addition to the hamburger. McClure and her classmates didn’t seem to be avoiding the fresh vegetables at all.
