Maharishi School open house scheduled May 28
Registration at Maharishi School is now open for the 2014-15 school year.
An open house is set 9:45-11:45 a.m. May 28 for children who are ready to enter preschool and kindergarten.
Preschool children can be 18 months to 4 years of age and attend a half-day program three-, four- or five-days a week.
Kindergarteners turn 5 years old by Sept. 15 and attend a full day, five-days a week program.
By attending the open house, parents new to Maharishi School will receive a $100 tuition discount. One parent must attend the open house and enroll their child no later than June 6.
Maharishi Preschool/Kindergarten is a place for children to learn and grow. Children work individually and in groups. They also have plenty of time to spend in their own outdoor learning environment, the Nature Explore Classroom.
In the Nature Explore Classroom, children collaborate on games, creative projects in nature and building their physical skills and abilities. New to the outdoor play space this year is a climbing boulder, music station, art easels and new plantings.
Preschool director and teacher Rebecca Bellonci is a certified Montessori teacher, who has served as education director and lead teacher at a Montessori school in North Carolina and has conducted several parent education programs. Currently the preschool class is full with a limited number of openings for next year. By attending the open house, parents new to Maharishi School can guarantee a spot for the fall, as well as receive a tuition discount.
To register for the open house, call 472-9400, ext. 5100, and leave a message. Anyone unable to attend can make arrangements to meet with Bellonci individually, and the $100 discount will apply.
