McHone to be honored as breast cancer survivor
Three decades ago, Fairfield resident Diane McHone heard the words every person fears: “You have cancer.”
Thirty years later, her daughters, Lori Schieltz and Lanette Miller, are are honoring her as a breast cancer survivor at an open house from 1-4 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Fellowship Hall.
“Mom has conquered cancer and been a survivor for 30 years. What an accomplishment,” Schieltz said. “She is an inspiration to all of us, and we are proud to call her our hero.”
All friends and family are invited to celebrate this milestone.
