More winter this week
The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities reports a winter storm system will spread snow across northeast Missouri, eastern Iowa and northwest Illinois Tuesday.
The snow will continue Tuesday night into Wednesday morning before the storm system exits to the east.
North to northwest winds will increase to 15 to 25 mph by Wednesday, causing some blowing and drifting snow.
Accumulating snow and drifting snow will lead to hazardous travel conditions.
Visibility may be reduced to less than a quarter mile at times.
Conditons from mid to late Tuesday morning through mid morning Wednesday include snow accumulations of 5 to 7 inches.
Wednesday night through Friday morning cold temperatures and dangerous wind chills as low as 20 below to 30 below zero will be possible.
