Nancy Van Blaricum
Nancy Van Blaricum, 68, died Thursday evening, Sept. 8, 2016, of natural causes at her home in Cedar Rapids.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Gabriel and All Angels Liberal Catholic Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Tom Miller officiating.
A memorial ballroom dance will be 8-10 p.m. Friday at Morning Star Studio in Fairfield. A lesson in the fox trot and rumba starts at 7:30 p.m.

Ms. Van Blaricum was born Feb. 14, 1948, in southeast Pennsylvania, the daughter of Norma and Curtis Jones. She married Paul Saipher in 1999 in Fairfield.
She grew up in Wallingford, outside Philadelphia. She became a teacher of the Transcendental Meditation Program in Mallorca, Spain, in 1972 and taught over 2,000 practitioners in the U.S.
She moved to Fairfield with her daughter in 1993. She and her husband moved to Cedar Rapids Dec. 15, 2015.
Ms. Van Blaricum’s passion in later years was making purses, mostly from recycled fabric samples, and selling them at farmers’ markets and craft shows.
Survivors include: her husband; one daughter, Brynn Van Blaricum of North Liberty; and one sister, Debbie Koines of Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
