New Year’s Eve dinner, tour set at convention center
“Backstage at the Sondheim – New Year’s Eve Dinner with Chef Noah” is being planned for Dec. 31 at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center.
The event will include a cocktail hour and backstage tour of the Stephen Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts at 5:30 p.m., followed by a plated, three-course dinner at 6:30 p.m.
The dinner features entrée options including Chef Noah’s famous Tuscan chicken, salmon picatta, rib-eye steak or grilled and seasoned vegetables.
A full bar, complete with wine, alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, will be available throughout the evening. A champagne toast will follow dinner.
The chef, Noah Lobdell, is the Fairfield Hy-Vee Food and Drug Store executive chef and former chef of the award-winning Vivo Restaurant and Bar.
Throughout the evening, entertainment will feature local musicians, including Rob Steinberg and Derek Anderson from the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center Board of Directors.
Discount tickets are available for $30 through Dec. 20. After Dec. 20, tickets are $35. Ticket sales end at noon Dec. 29.
