New York archbishop to visit Loras College
Cardinal Timothy Dolan, the Archbishop of New York, will preside at a liturgy service at 5:15 p.m. April 20, at Christ the King Chapel on the Loras College Campus, in Debuque.
This free event is open to the general public.
While on campus, Dolan will visit with students, faculty and alumni. He will also meet with Fellowship of Catholic University Students missionaries, student leaders of Loras Campus Ministries and recipients of the St. John Paul II Scholarship.
Loras President Jim Collins stated in a news release that Cardinal Dolan’s visit is both “an honor and privilege.”
“With frequent contact with the Vatican, the cardinal has a world view of Catholicism and the role Loras College plays in the global Catholic Church,” Collins said in the release.
Dolan will also provide the keynote address at a dinner that evening in the Marie Graber Ballroom inside the Loras Alumni Campus Center.
Doors open at 6:15 p.m. for the 7 p.m. dinner. The cost is $75 per person.

Dolan will also serve as the keynote speaker at a fundraising dinner for students of Divine Word College, April 21 at the Grand River Center in Dubuque.
