Oklahoma woman set for Iowa murder trial
FORT DODGE (AP) — An Oklahoma woman is scheduled to go on trial in Iowa, accused of killing her newborn baby son nearly 18 months ago.
Thirty-two-year-old Hillary Tyler, of Mulhall, Okla., is accused of killing the boy Sept. 20, 2011, after giving birth to him in a Fort Dodge motel room.
Tyler had been staying at the motel while in Fort Dodge for temporary work.
The Messenger of Fort Dodge says Tyler’s trial on a charge of first-degree murder is scheduled to begin Monday. Trial was postponed on three earlier dates.
