Out with the old

Aug 21, 2014

Employees of Brown’s Tree Service in Fairfield are removing two large trees from Central Park today, including the maple tree seen here on the southeast corner of the park. The maple tree is being removed because it is old, while an ash tree on the northwest corner is being cut down because it is infested with the emerald ash borer, a pest that is expected to kill all the ash trees in town in the next several years.
