Panthers run at Camp Mitigwa
The Pekin High School cross-country program held camp throughout last week at Camp Mitigwa. Parents camped with the 65 combined middle school and high school runners in order to help everyone get prepared for the upcoming season. Runners put in approximately 50 miles of running over the five days and four nights at the camp, including some days where it rained consistently. As the week progressed, the team learned how to bind together, work on conditioning and race strategy, and have an overall good experience. The camp was directed by head coach Davis Eidahl, Sarah Wright and middle school coach Kaitlin Book.
