Park and rec offering new Walk with Ease program
The Fairfield Park and Recreation Department will begin offering the Arthritis Foundation Walk with Ease program Nov. 4 at the Roosevelt Community Recreation Center.
Classes meet for one hour three times a week for six weeks.
Walk with Ease is an exercise program that can reduce pain and improve overall health. According to the Arthritis Foundation, if a person can be on his or her feet for 10 minutes without increased pain, he or she can have success in the program.
The foundation also states Walk with Ease will help participants: be motivated to get in shape; walk safely and comfortably; improve flexibility, strength and stamina; and reduce pain and feel great.
Space is limited. The fee is $100.
