The following information is Fairfield Police Department’s initial contracts summary received by dispatch at the Jefferson County Law Enforcement Center.
Eric Rysdam was arrested at 4:39 p.m. Sunday for failure to appear on child support warrant.
Robert Knapp was arrested at 3:17 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant for fourth-degree theft.
A traffic accident was reported at 8:18 p.m. Friday. The caller was backing and struck a parked vehicle. Damage was less than $1,500, and information was exchanged.
A traffic accident was reported at 4:39 p.m. Sunday. A vehicle backed out of a private drive on South Fifth Street and collided with a vehicle traveling north on Fifth Street. Damage to one vehicle was estimated at $1,000, and damage to the other was estimated at $2,500.
An officer investigated a complaint of the smell of marijuana at 1:48 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of West Broadway Avenue. Dalton Cook was placed under arrest for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of alcohol under the legal age. Logan Fleeman was charged with possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Disorderly contact/disturbing the peace
A disorderly contact call was made at 12:11 a.m. Friday. A boyfriend/girlfriend argument was reported at 12:11 a.m. Friday in a parking lot. An adult male also was yelling at the son’s girlfriend. The girlfriend’s mother came and took her home.
At 12:52 a.m. Saturday, an officer told a group of five to 10 people smoking outside a business to keep the noise down.
An officer was called at 10:19 a.m. Tuesday to Fairfield Middle School. A student was upset, but had calmed down, and the school official did not want him to be charged, although the police officer said the student could still be charged with disorderly conduct.
The police were called to investigate an assault-simple at 9:06 a.m. Friday.
