Fairfield Police Department arrested Justin Haynes at 11:55 p.m. Monday on a warrant for serious assault.
Lance Smith was arrested at 7:08 p.m. Monday for third-degree burglary, serious domestic assault, possession of controlled substance-enhanced and interference with official acts.
Police investigated the report of a theft at 2 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of East Buchanan Avenue.
Police were called to a property damage accident at 5:19 p.m. Thursday at Ninth Street and Jefferson Avenue; Ramond Ellerd, 48, was cited for failure to yield upon entering a through street.
Monday: The afternoon storm resulted in tree limbs and power lines down in Fairfield. Dispatch had four calls between 2:42 - 4:20 p.m. about tree limbs in roadways and one branch hanging on a power line, and one power line down across a roadway.
6:11 p.m. caller reported a handgun on sidewalk with no one around. Police located a silver air gun, .177 caliber pellet BB handgun, with an eight-round clip with six BBs inside. The gun was placed in evidence.
9:14 p.m. Walmart employee reported carnival people harassing female employees out in parking lot getting carts, trying to get phone numbers and wanting to find out when employees got off work. Caller advised one carnival person was intoxicated and wanted a woman to accompany him to a bar. Police contacted carnival manager and advised him of employees harassment.
11:32 p.m. caller reported a opossum in the house. Opossum was removed.
