Fairfield Police Department arrested Dalton Wayne Cook, 18, of 302 W. Broadway Ave., No. 5, in the 1100 block of Guild Drive at 3:55 a.m. Sunday. He is charged with two counts of third-degree burglary; ongoing criminal conduct; two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief; escape or absence from custody; fifth-degree criminal mischief; and interference with official acts. Canine Uno and a taser were used to capture Cook who was running and hiding from law enforcement.
10:11 p.m. dispatch received several calls about fireworks.
9:23 a.m. to 5:50 p.m. dispatch received eight calls about vehicle break-ins and burglaries.
1:53 p.m. Roger Scott was cited for driving under suspension.
5:20 p.m. IDOT reports a three-vehicle accident with no injuries at Burlington Avenue and Second Street. Christine Marie Brooks, 52, of Fairfield, was driving a 1991 Buick Century east on Burlington Avenue and rear-ended a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Renee Elizabeth Thomas, 41, of Fairfield that was stopped near the intersection, causing Thomas to rear-end a 2008 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Max Wayne Harlan, 43, of Stockport, also stopped at the intersection. Damages were estimated at $1,000 to the Buick; $1,500 to the Cobalt; and $400 to the pickup truck. Brooks was cited for failure to stop in an assured clear distance.
Cory Thomas Ellerd, 25, was cited for improper use of registration.
6:50 p.m. Donald Joseph Lisefski, 58, was pulling out of his driveway and culd not see around a truck parked in front of the house. He collided with Nathan William Gerdes, 30, driving east on Buchanan Avenue. Lisefski was cited for failure to yield upon entering a roadway.
