Fairfield Police Department arrested James Richard Clark Jr., 36, of Davenport at 2:13 a.m. today in the 100 block of East Broadway Avenue for operating while intoxicated, first offense, no insurance on file and driving while suspended, revoked, canceled or denied.
11:08 p.m. An officer on foot checked storage units; found 16 unlocked units containing items.
10:15 p.m. water leak reported on Kirkwood Avenue.
7:49 p.m. report of a loud crash. Lois Silvers, 66, was parking her car in front of the Thai Deli on Broadway Avenue and accidently hit the gas pedal instead of the brake. Her car hit the building, no apparent damage to building, no injuries. The car was drivable.
7:46 p.m. suspected mail theft reported.
7:16 p.m. investigate report of fifth-degree theft in 900 block of North Eighth Street.
6:19 p.m. report of kids putting picnic tables together and getting on top of roof. Kids were gone upon officer arrival.
6:59 p.m. reports kids were back on top of shelter house. Five juveniles, ages 10 to 14, years old, all of Fairfield, were advised not to stack picnic tables anymore and stay off the shelter house. Kids said they didn’t know it wasn’t allowed.
6:14 p.m. report of a parked car possibly hit, with blue paint scrape visible.
3:39 p.m. vehicle accident at B Street and Briggs Avenue. Madison Nelson, 17, was driving west on Briggs Avenue, approaching intersection, skidded at B Street stop sign due to rain and slid into intersection, colliding with vehicle driven by Shalini Gupta, 36. Nelson was cited for failure to yield.
