Fairfield Police Department responded to a vehicle accident at 11:28 a.m. Friday. Adam E. Ledger, 31, of Brighton, driving a 2001 Ford light pickup truck hauling a trailer, was eastbound on 18th Street, lost control on the ice, jackknifed and slide into an Alliant electrical pole. No injuries were reported. The truck was totaled; the Alliant pole had an estimated $100 in damages.
6:16 a.m. arrest warrant served on Timothy Halley.
2:41 p.m. Grant Merrill was arrested on a warrant.
4:14 p.m. Jeremiah Brown was arrested on a warrant, probation revocation.
5:37 p.m. Daniel Tudor reported he was hit by a vehicle while riding his bicycle and knocked to the ground. Driver stopped to check if he was OK.
6:51 p.m. Resident in 800 block of South D Street, reported a gold necklace, a gold wedding ring and a fake gold diamond ring were stolen from her residence sometime in June, July or August. She has contacted pawn shops but not located the jewelry. Her residence is almost always unlocked; no forced entry.
7:57 p.m. sometime between 6:30 p.m. Dec. 11 and 9:30 a.m. Saturday, a brown leather coat and small coin purse were taken from a vehicle.

11:36 p.m. Jason Essary turned himself in at law center on an arrest warrant.
7:08 a.m. report of two vehicles broken into in Washington Elementary School neighborhood sometime between 5:30-7 a.m. Vehicles had been unlocked. A gray wallet was taken.
8:18 a.m. Resident reported evidence of someone entering back porch, going through cabinets and maybe the basement and through cars in the garage.
8:51 a.m. Resident reported someone entered residence through an unlocked front door while occupant was asleep, rifled through drawers, stole several items including credit cards, bank checks, miscellaneous jewelry, cash and a Sony laptop.
11:39 a.m. Resident was home watching TV around midnight, door was unlocked, heard door close, got up to check, no one was around. Missing from residence, black diaper bag containing a Panosonic camera valued at $250; insurance card ID; assorted baby clothes. Vehicles also had been entered, $20-$30 in cash plus assorted change taken from ashtray.
2:11 p.m. Woman reported purse lost or stolen; she had it at 11:45 a.m. then couldn’t find it.
3:42 p.m. Resident reported theft of a mailed package from porch.
4:49 p.m. Resident in 300 block of South D Street, reported sometime between 8 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday, vehicle was entered and two checkbooks and wallet with driver’s license and insurance card are missing.
6:57 p.m. Resident reported a lost black canvas wallet containing a driver’s license, a pilot’s license, a permit to carry and other important papers.
8:07 a.m. house fire on C Street called in. Friday’s Ledger had photos, information.
8:30 a.m. laundry mat vandalized.
12:23 p.m. Casey’s South employees found two syringes in parking lot; police recovered two needles and disposed of properly.
