Fairfield Police Department’s dispatch log of calls for Thursday include:

12:28 a.m. Dillon Evertsen, 19, was stopped for an expired registration and officer smelled alcohol. Evertsen was transported to the jail and tested. His driver’s license was revoked and he was cited for an expired registration.

6:43 p.m. caller said vehicle could not drive up a hill because of slick road conditions.

7:52 p.m. caller reported road intersections slick; police advised city road crews.

7:53 p.m. caller reported cars not able to climb a hill.

8:09 p.m. caller reported slick intersections.

8:18 p.m. report of accident; Michael Matzkin, 62, was traveling east on Burlington Avenue and was turning north onto Fourth Street and the slick road conditions made him slide, colliding with a vehicle driven by Michael Giberson, 42, who was traveling west on Burlington Avenue, causing an estimated $1,500 or more in damages. Matzkin was cited for failure to yield right-of-way while turning left.
