Fairfield Police Department reports the following calls and incidents were logged at dispatch:
12:57 a.m. caller reported it was the third night in a row he’d had a bottle thrown at him from rooftop of a business/apartment building on Main Street near the square. He heard people walking on roof while he was in bed, got up, went outside in the street to tell them to get down off roof and be quiet, had bottle thrown. He can’t see the people and doesn’t know them. Officer will contact building manager. It appears someone removed a section of roof, used a ladder to climb onto the roof.
9:37 a.m. caller reported two bicycles were taken overnight from the garage. The bikes were located the following day and returned.
9:40 a.m. caller reported a lost or stolen purse some time ago; was calling to check if it had been turned into law enforcement.
5:53 p.m. caller reported an assault.
6:04 p.m. caller reported a phone scam message left on answering machine.
7:24 a.m. citizen turned in a found green wallet.
1:13 p.m. caller reported a structure fire.
4:58 p.m. caller reported three large dogs in a car with no windows open; officer is familiar with this car, followed it to residence. Dog owner said he always leaves his car running with air conditioning on so that his dogs won’t overheat. Officer advised owner of complaint.
5:46 p.m. a found dog in Chautaugua Park was taken to the vet clinic.
10:56 p.m. several students from Maharishi University of Management were riding bicycles without lights and given verbal warnings.
11:01 p.m. more students from Maharishi University of Management were riding bicycles without lights and given verbal warnings.
11:39 p.m. several calls received about loud booms.
1:37 a.m. Heriberto Guerra, 23, was cited for public intoxication.
1:34 p.m. an arrest warrant was served on Daequan Weaver for failure to appear.
2:40 p.m. John Newbold was arrested for disorderly conduct and interference with official acts.
3:32 p.m. John Newbold was charged with fifth-degree criminal mischief.
4:44 p.m. fire call about house filled with smoke from items left on stove.
6:46 p.m. Daniel Housh, 20, was cited for possession of alcohol under legal age.
10:12 p.m. Doris Jackson, 20, was arrested on a Van Buren County warrant.
