The Fairfield Police Department reports the following incidents logged into dispatch:
8:25 a.m. – Aideen Marie Vega-Vanauken was cited for speeding.
10:18 a.m. – Deborah Carruthers, 61, of Birmingham was arrested for fifth-degree theft.
10:50 a.m. – A no-injury accident occurred on Highway 1 and Fourth Street. Louis Dondanville was stopped in traffic waiting to turn in a private driveway, when Cassy Shy, who was headed southbound, struck him from behind.
11:36 a.m. – The owner of My Lucky Day advised that subjects were rummaging through the bed of his truck.
2:17 p.m. – A caller advised that he found the contents of a purse dumped under a tree. Pictures and other items were found. Officers discovered who the items belonged to and contacted the subject. She said she would advise if anything turned up missing.
2:34 p.m. – A male subject stole a pair of shoes from Walmart. He took a pair of shoes out of a box and left his old ones in their place. He wore the new pair of shoes out of the store. The subject was in the store with someone else, and both parties fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival. Officers identified the subjects and attempted to locate them at their residence.
3 p.m. – A theft occurred at Walmart valued at under $200.
10:44 p.m. – Possible mistreatment of a child was reported.
