The Fairfield Police Department reports the following incidents logged into dispatch:
7:50 a.m. – Elizabeth Ann Messer was cited for expired registration.
9:15 a.m. – A citizen advised that a male subject from Fairfield has been sending her harassing texts.
9:22 a.m. – Joshua Randall Meth, 27, of Fairfield was arrested on warrants for third-degree burglary.
10:16 a.m. – A caller advised of a suspicious male subject that entered their business. The subject appeared to be in his 50s. The caller told officers that the male subject left the business and might have headed to Jefferson County Health Center. The caller said the subject had gray hair, glasses and a green coat. Officers were unable to locate the subject.
12:21 p.m. – A caller stated that he found a bicycle in his front yard. He told officers that he left it there for a few days, thinking someone might pick it up. He took it to the Jefferson County Law Center. The bicycle was placed in police impound.
2:38 p.m. – A citizen advised that his bicycle was stolen in the 500 block of South Fourth Street.
3:29 p.m. – A stolen bicycle was recovered in the 500 block of West Stone Street.
4:27 p.m. – A citizen reported a garage burglary in the 800 block of South Fourth Street.
4:43 p.m. – A citizen advised of a scam that occurred on South Eighth Street.
5 p.m. – Officers responded to a call regarding an unknown problem “man down.” A child passed away.
6:36 a.m. – A caller advised that an accident occurred and one of the vehicles was in a ditch with a deployed air bag. The subject had head-injuries. Jody Seeley was conscious and breathing. Emergent response.
1:44 p.m. – Joshua Meth was arrested for motor vehicle burglary.
