The Fairfield Police Department reports the following incidents logged into dispatch:
3:08 a.m. – A citizen advised that suspicious activity occurred between Fourth Street and Washington Avenue.
3:30 a.m. – An associate at Walmart on Burlington Avenue advised that suspicious activity.
6:03 a.m. – An officer investigated suspicious activity at The Fairfield Ledger.
11:12 a.m. – A caller advised that her sister-in-law left after she and her husband got into a dispute. The subject had been gone for more than an hour. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate her.
4:08 p.m. – University BP on Second Avenue advised that someone driving a white Cadillac sports utility vehicle drove off with $6.08 in gas. The subject was last seen heading west on Lowe Avenue.
4:44 p.m. – Melanie Newell was cited for failure to have valid identification.
4:44 p.m. – Georgianna Panopoulos, 19, was cited for failure to have a valid driver’s license or permit for operating a motor vehicle.
2:20 p.m. – A citizen advised that her neighbor’s dog tried to attack her as she was getting out of her car. She advised that it was possibly a pit bull. The dog is tan and white. She also said the dog had been aggressive to humans and other animals in the past. The owner was cited for allowing the dog to run loose.
12:07 a.m. – Lanny Lee Barr, 60, was cited for expired registration, and passengers riding inside of his vehicle were cited for having open containers.
6:21 p.m. – Railside Storage on North Eighth Street reported a burglary.
11 p.m. – Police assisted Jefferson County sheriff deputies with a single vehicle accident on Highway 34 West.
