Rat Pack at Sondheim
Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show takes audiences on a journey back to the days of highballs, hi-jinks and happy hour with Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Joey Bishop and Dean Martin.
The show is set for 7:30 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center’s Stephen Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts.
Celebrating 50 years of The Rat Pack, this show has been hailed as the next best thing to seeing members of The Rat Pack themselves. Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Showlooks like Vegas and feels like Broadway. The Rat Pack, they were style with substance, swing with swagger and a nonstop party.
This critically acclaimed, hugely entertaining theatrical production includes exciting new arrangements of the classic songs everyone knows and loves, including “For Once in My Life,” “My Way,” “Mack the Knife,” as well as original songs and recorded voiceovers by Sandy Hackett’s father, the late legendary comedian Buddy Hackett.
The show brings back Frank, Sammy, Joey and Dean in their prime to modern day. The ad-libbing and improvisation takes members of the audience from tears to belly laughs.
Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show is part of the 2012-13 Sondheim Artist Series and presented by First National Bank in Fairfield, Hedquist Productions and KILJ Radio/Paul and Joyce Dennison.
