Rec center plans Easter activities■ Fairfield Park and Recreation Department is seeking donations for the Easter egg hunt.
The Fairfield Park and Recreation Department is planning several Easter-related activities, including a crafting activity and the annual Easter egg hunt.
The Easter Craft activity is set from 4-4:45 p.m. March 21 at the Roosevelt Community Recreational Center racquetball court No. 3.
The activity is for first- through fourth-graders.
Preregistration is required by March 14. The cost is $6, and students can be registered by stopping by the rec center or calling 472-6159. The online registration at www.fairfieldparksandrec.com is currently not available.
The park and rec department and several co-sponsors are planning the annual Easter egg hunt March 23 at Chautauqua Park, with the hunt for plastic eggs filled with treats and prizes starting at 10 a.m. sharp.
The event is free for people of all ages.
The Easter egg hunt co-sponsors are Fairfield Elks Lodge, Fairfield Lions Club and Fairfield Kiwanis Club.

“We are looking for plastic eggs, candy and prizes,” said Christy Leazer, aquatic/recreation superintendent.
