Registration due Dec. 10 for Alzheimer’s, dementia class
OTTUMWA — The Alzheimer’s Association will host a Living with Alzheimer’s & Dementia educational program Dec. 12 at Indian Hills Community College Rural Health Building, Room 109, in Ottumwa.
The program will feature multiple speakers discussing the 10 signs of Alzheimer’s and dementia, early stages, current research, staying healthy while aging, making decisions and future planning, and local resources available for help.
Registration will take place from 9:30-10 a.m., and the program will be from 9:55 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration is free, although a $10 donation is suggested.
Continuing education credits will be available for professional caregivers for a $5 fee.
