Registration due Friday for caregivers’ class
Powerful Tools for Caregivers, a class designed to provide family caregivers with the skills needed to take care of themselves, is set to begin Jan. 7 at the Jefferson County ISU Extension Office.
Six weekly 90-minute class sessions will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. on Tuesdays Jan. 7 through Feb. 11. A light snack will be provided.
The sessions are led by certified, experienced class leaders. Participants will learn to: reduce stress; improve self-confidence; balance their lives; better communicate feelings; increase ability to make tough decisions; and locate helpful resources.
Organizers say, “When you take care of yourself, everyone benefits.”
The cost for the class is $10. The fee will be used to offset expenses and to support the Families County Extension Program.
Registration deadline is Friday.
