Registration due Wednesday for free Alzheimer’s program
OTTUMWA — The Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Iowa Chapter, is offering a comprehensive free educational program for the South Central Iowa region from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Ottumwa Public Library.
All individuals in the area are invited to attend.
The event will begin with “The 10 Warning Signs Alzheimer’s disease” from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
A more in-depth look at how to care for people with Alzheimer’s and related diseases, particularly those in middle stages, is planned from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
The program will conclude with a question-and-answer open forum from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The comprehensive program is suitable for anyone caring for someone with Alzheimer’s or related diseases or for anyone interested in a foundational understanding of the illnesses.
Those interested can attend any or all of the three sessions. Classes will be taught by Alzheimer’s Association professional Jerry Schroeder.
