Registration open for Trojan basketball camps
Fairfield varsity coach Tyler Miklo is holding two Trojan boys’ basketball camps in June.
A team camp is scheduled Monday, June 10, through Friday, June 14. The first session, for grades eight through 12, will be 9 a.m. to noon daily. The second session, for grades three through seven, will be 1-4 p.m. daily. Cost is $50 per child.
An “Extra Effort” two-week camp is scheduled June 17-21 and June 24-28. The first session, for third- through seventh-graders, will be at 8-9 a.m. daily. A session for eighth- through 12th-graders will follow each day at 9-10 a.m. Cost for this camp also is $50.
Both camps will take place at Fairfield High School Gymnasium and place a strong emphasis on fundamental basketball skills. Activities will include drills, guest speakers, competition and individual skills development.
Miklo is entering his fourth season as head coach of the Trojans. Assistant coaches Glenn Perkins, Bud Blakely and Tony Vandegriff as well as former and current Trojan players will assist Miklo in leading the camps.
Families will save $20 if a child signs up for both camps. Families also will save $10 for each additional sibling signed up.
