Relay for Life team hosting auction, ‘to-go’ soup lunch
The Cancer Exterminator Jefferson County Relay for Life team will be hosting its third annual silent auction and to-go soup luncheon in memory of Sandy Worley from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at First National Bank in Fairfield.
In addition to many great auction items, such as “A Night on the Town” dinner and event donated by ILA’s Restaurant and Fairfield Arts & Convention Center and a one-night stay at the Best Western Fairfield Inn, the team will be auctioning off all 12 months of the 2014 Jefferson County Relay for Life calendar.
“This is a great way to support the American Cancer Society as well as honor your loved ones,” said Dawn Bechtel, one of the organizers. “The calendar includes both beautiful photographs and inspirational stories of hope from local cancer survivors, as well as memorial of those we’ve lost too soon.”
The 2013 Jefferson County Relay for Life calendar will be available at the event Friday.
Raffel tickets will be available for the Cancer Exterminator’s team quilt, which will be on display Friday.
Local vendors also will be set up to sell items, with a precentage of the proceeds being donated to the American Cancer Socity.
The carry-out soup lunch/dinner will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again from 4-6 p.m. The cost is $5.
