Reservations due Thursday for local cattlemen dinner
Jefferson County Cattlemen will be hosting a membership drive dinner at 7 p.m. Nov. 26 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.
The dinner is planned to help gather members to build a vibrant, active organization that will speak to the issues at hand and join other active agricultural organizations creating a strong network to collectively support and build the agriculture industry.
All Jefferson County cattle producers and friends of the industry are invited to enjoy a free steak dinner. Van Buren County Cattlemen and Fairfield FFA will assist in serving the meal.
The keynote speaker will be Mike Pearson, host of “Market to Market” on IPTV.
Pearson will address issues affecting people in the agriculture world from his perspective.
Matt Deppe, CEO of Iowa Cattlemen Association also will share current topics and events important to the cattle industry.
He will speak on existing activities and future direction of ICA at the state level.

Early reservations will be entered into a drawing for a $50 Hy-Vee gift card. Additional door prizes will be given at the dinner.
