Richard D. Greenfield, 73, of Fairfield, died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Danny Carey officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery east of Douds. Visitation will open at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with family present 5-7 p.m.

Memorials to Zion Lutheran Cemetery can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 11609 Highway 16, Douds 52551.

Mr. Greenfield was born Aug. 2, 1943, in Douds, the son of Cyrus H. and Alta Geneva Cooper Greenfield. He married Judy Humphrey Sept. 13, 1963; they later divorced. He married Shirley Guo Aug. 12, 2010, in Las Vegas.

Mr. Greenfield grew up in Douds. He worked at Louden Machinery Company in Fairfield and currently owned and operated Dick’s Auto Towing in Fairfield. He was a licensed private airplane pilot.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Dena Nordyke and husband Russell of Biloxi, Mississippi; one son, Tony Greenfield of Eolia, Missouri; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Sondra Dick of Douds; three brothers, Dwain Greenfield of Douds, William Greenfield of Davenport and Michael Greenfield of Douds. His parents and one brother, James Greenfield, preceded him in death.
