Rose Breakfast; June Jamboree; Mission trip dinner
Reservations due for Rose Breakfast
United Methodist Women of First United Methodist Church in Fairfield will host its annual Rose Breakfast at 9 a.m. June 19 at the church.
Kathy Tollenaere will present the program “A Rose from a Bridal Bouquet.”
Both past and present wedding dresses will be on display.
Area women are invited to attend. Reservations are necessary and must be called to Ferne Lawson at 472-2401 by Thursday.
June Jamboree set June 14
First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is hosting a June Jamboree, with The Joyful Sounds, at 5:30 p.m. June 14 in its picnic shelter.
The public is invited to the free event. Those attending are asked to bring their own lawn chairs. Food will be provided.
The Joyful Sounds are Dan and Karen Brownlee of Burlington. They will entertain with music and antics.
Dinner to benefit youth mission trip
LIBERTYVILLE — Faith United Methodist Church will host a fundraising pork loin dinner noon to 1:30 p.m. June 15 at the church in Libertyville.
A free-will offering will be collected. Proceeds will be used in support of the church’s youth mission trip in July.
“This is the first youth/adult mission trip for this congregation, so we are quite excited,” said Beth Bell, pastor of the church.
The menu includes pork loin, chicken breasts, corn, green beans, potatoes and dessert.
Members of the Jefferson County Pork Producers will be grilling.
