Roy Clark concert rescheduled
Roy Clark has postponed his performance scheduled for Friday at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center’s Stephen Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts due to health issues.
The concert will be rescheduled for 7:30 p.m. March 8.
According to Clark’s management, he is experiencing chronic back pain and has been advised by his doctor to postpone his concerts for the next 60 days. The canceled performances also include: Cedar Falls on Saturday; the Riverside Casino and Resort in Laughlin, Nev., on Sept. 25-29; and Lake of the Torches Casino Resort in Lac du Flambeau, Wis., on Nov. 9.
“I am disappointed that I will not be able to perform these upcoming shows,” said Clark. “I look forward to rescheduling these dates when the chronic pain subsides. I’m sure the rest and rehabilitation will take care of the problem.”
“We were notified on Sept. 17 and are disappointed for our patrons who were excited to see this country icon,” said Rustin Lippincott, executive director of the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center. “We have instituted our postpone policy at the ticket office.”
Patrons are advised to contact Sasha Luse, ticket office manager, at 472-2787 for more information.
“Roy Clark: Pickin’ and Grinnin’ — The Ultimate Country Music Entertainer” was scheduled as part of the 2013-14 Sondheim Center Artist Series: Continuing the Momentum.
