S.H.A.R.E. food orders due

Orders are due before March 8 for the S.H.A.R.E. Iowa Inc. food packages available in March.

Orders can be placed by calling the St. Mary Catholic Church office at 472-3179 or the Southern Iowa Economic Development Association office at 472-6140. Orders also can be placed online at www.shareiowa.org. Food pickup will be at 8 a.m. March 23 at the Fairfield Eagles Club.

Several different food packages are available; participants can purchase one or more in any combination.

The $25 “best value” package includes hardwood-smoked bacon, hickory-smoked boneless chicken breast fillets, all pork and beef Salisbury steak, ground turkey, green bean steamer vegetables with red pepper and onion, McCain potato smiles hash browns, a chocolate French silk pie, and seasonal produce items.

The $13.50 grocery package includes fresh seasonal produce assortment, green bean steamer vegetables with red pepper and onion, McCain potato smiles hash browns, and a chocolate French silk pie.

The $13.50 meat-only package includes hardwood-smoked bacon, hickory-smoked boneless chicken breast fillets, all pork and beef Salisbury steak, and ground turkey.

A $30 Easter dinner package is available with ham, potatoes, sweet potatoes, frozen vegetables, buttermilk biscuits, salad mix, carrots, apples, oranges, and chocolate pie.

The $20 breakfast box includes Mrs. Smith’s Breakfast Bites, bacon, French toast sticks, and roasted potatoes.

The $21 pork chop box offers boneless pork chops.

The $18 pork sausage and pancake wrap box offers pork sausage links wrapped in blueberry pancakes. This will be the last time this box will be offered.

Participants who order one of the main food packages also have the option to order “choice” items.

The choice items for March are: a $15 pasta box including manicotti, stuffed shells, cheese ravioli, meat tortellini, spinach and cheese stuffed rigatoni, sun-dried tomato and cheese stuffed rigatoni, and potato and cheddar pirogies; a $6 butterball turkey breast, fully cooked and deep-fried; $6 for a package of cheesy diced potatoes and a package of cinnamon apples; and $13 for a whole turkey.
