Several area high school students learn about completing schoarship applications during a scholarship workshop Wednesday evening at the Jefferson County ISU Extension Office. Wheeler, alumna of Fairfield High School and now coordinator of recruitment and career development for the John B. Goddard School of Business & Economics at Weber State University in Utah, gave the informative presentation regarding proper completion of a scholarship application at both high school and college levels. In addition, Wheeler also clarified the importance of choosing the right college for a chosen field; how to choose a major; and the importance of including a proper resume on the scholarship applications, as well as important and necessary entities to consider in the students’ next step of education. The workshop was a partnership with The Greater Jefferson County Foundation and ISU Jefferson County Extension.
