School district plans project presentations
Fairfield Community School District has two more public meetings this month to present information about the high school renovation/remodel/addition plan and to answer questions:
• 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Libertyville Elementary School, with representatives from the school district, Piper Jaffray bonding advisors and StruXture Architects to answer questions and provide information. Anyone is welcome to attend.
• 7:30 p.m. March 27, in Dalby Hall inside Argiro Student Center, Maharishi University of Management, open to the public. Fairfield Community School District administrators and staff from StruXture Architects will provide information and answer questions.
Anyone who would like to tour Fairfield High School can do so by contacting the high school office at 472-2059 and setting up a visit.
By arrangement during the school day, a Fairfield staff member can walk members of the public through the facility and discuss the proposed changes.
An architectural rendering of the proposed remodeling/renovation/addition can be viewed at the high school office at 605 E. Broadway Ave., at the central office, 403 South 20th St., and on the district’s website, fairfieldsfuture.org.
The district’s website also has a list of the project’s priorities, year-to-year school tax rates and why tax rates in the school district will not increase for the proposed $10 million bond issue on the April 2 ballot, polling places to vote April 2, and more.
