Sheriff: Iowa man sold drugs to undercover officer
CORALVILLE (AP) — Iowa authorities say a 21-year-old man has been arrested and charged for selling cocaine and ecstasy to an undercover officer.
Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says Dominic Magalhaes was arrested Tuesday night. He has been charged with two felonies for the drug sales. Magalhaes also faces misdemeanor charges for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Authorities say Magalhaes sold one gram of MDMA to the officer in February. They say he then made an arrangement to trade cocaine for a hallucinogen in March.
Authorities say Magalhaes was arrested after trying to trade the cocaine and other drugs were found at his house.
Online jail records did not indicate an attorney for Magalhaes.
